Temporary or Permanent Jobs in Australia and New Zealand

Because of travel, logistics, and practice standards, most of our international assignments are at least six months long and require board certified doctors or doctors just completing a residency who are board eligible.

As you know, the health care systems in Australia and New Zealand are different than our US system. For this reason, compensation may be lower than that offered for domestic work. Nonetheless, this is a great way to see a new country and experience an entirely different style of medical practice.

  • We'll help you identify a great geographic location and position that fits your interests and skills.
  • You will need medical registration, which is the equivalent of U.S. medical licensure, and a work visa. We have a great deal of experience with the processes and paperwork, and will walk you through every step of the registration and work visa application. The process generally takes about eight weeks for New Zealand and 12 to 16 weeks for Australia.
  • Both countries also require face-to-face meetings at their respective medical boards, which we arrange for you. We also prepare all of the documents you need for this meeting.
  • We'll do whatever it takes to get you (and your family if you choose) there comfortably.
  • For most assignments, your malpractice insurance will be paid and you can expect assistance with a portion of your housing and travel.
