National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO) Installs New Officers

Salt Lake City, Utah—November 17, 2004— The National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO), the trade association of the temporary physician staffing industry, today announced it has installed its 2004-2005 slate of officers.

  • President—Katie Abby, chief operating officer, VISTA Staffing Solutions, Salt Lake City, is president.
  • President-Elect—B. Franklin Phillips, president, Weatherby Locums, Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is president-elect.
  • Treasurer—Brian Reinhardt, vice president, Reinhardt Medical Group, Inc., Pensacola, Fla., is treasurer.
  • Past-President—Jamey Morgan, president of Concorde Staff Source, Atlanta, is past-president.

NALTO also announced that Bruce Kirby, president and chief operating officer of Interim Physicians, Inc., Atlanta, will leave the board upon completing a two year term as a NALTO officer.

The new officers were installed during NALTO’s recent annual meeting, held in Denver. Among the topics covered during the meeting was a review of NALTO’s Standards of Business Practice, which ensure consistency in the way members work with physicians and health care organizations and which help resolve disputes between member companies.

The NALTO Board also announced that it and the National Association of Physician Recruiters will hold one concurrent meeting annually, during which the two organizations will share speakers and educational opportunities as appropriate.

For the first time, NALTO offered Associate Sponsor Membership to vendors serving the locum tenens industry. Ten organizations joined. They are Christopherson Travel Group; PhysicianWork.com; Locum Tenens Consulting, Inc.; Gallagher Healthcare Insurance Services; Inc.; Elsevier; Coast to Coast Corporate Housing; Liability Insurance Solutions, Inc.; Shand Morahan & Co.; Bowen Miclette & Brit, and Medical Marketing Services, Inc.
